Hi, I’m Stefano Masera,

and I was born on March 21,the same day as Johann Sebastian Bach, but 279 years later! 

As a guitarist I graduated at the Conservatory of Riva del Garda obtaining the highest marks.

I’ve always cultivated a passion for writing music and I was very lucky to meet Maestro Francesco Valdambrini.

He convinced me that I had to write music that first of all I like, and so I do!

So I wrote a lot of compositions for solo guitar, devided into compositions to stimulate students playting the guitar and concert studies.

I have written a lot of chamber music for various ensembles, with and without guitar. I created the “Songs from Emily Dickinson” in which I set to music the verses of the great American poetess.

I love folk music too, and I enjoy playing violin or double bass in various folk ensembles.

I created music for soundtracks and arrangements for various enssembles.

I teach guitar and chamber music at the “Scuola di Musica Vivaldi” in Bolzano.
